For nearly 150 yrs the iconic Azure Window ruled supreme on the Island of Gozo. Every travel guide for Malta had a picture of this wonderful and beautiful site. Sadly the wind, sea and weather took its toll and on the 8th March 2017 at 6.45 am, following a week of storms, it collapsed. Below are a few pictures of that amazing geological feature measuring nearly 30 mts high and some of the surrounding area Whilst for non diving tourists it is sad but for divers it has opened a whole new range of boulders and swim throughs together with a number of other great features to complement The Blue Hole.
